Storyline: In 1824, Manjulika, a woman betrayed by the Maharaja, is burned alive. However, she returns to the palace as a vengeful spirit, haunting it for centuries. Fast forward two hundred years, Ruhan, a conman who poses as a spiritual healer called Rooh Baba, is approached by Meera and her uncle. They offer him a large sum of money to exorcise the spirit from their haunted palace. Upon arriving, Ruhan is shocked to find the palace abandoned due to the villagers’ fear of the ghost, and that Meera and her family live in poverty in a cowshed. After receiving strange looks from the villagers, Ruhan learns from the village head priest that he is the reincarnation of the former king, murdered by his own sister, Manjulika. The village burns an effigy of Manjulika each year during a festival, but this time, a mysterious woman named Mallika, claiming to be a historian, enters the palace to conduct research. She uncovers a hidden passage, though the head priest warns them not to open it until Durga Ashtami. Ignoring his advice, Ruhan, Meera, and their group venture inside. The head priest arrives, foretelling more danger, revealing that the king had two jealous sisters, one of whom killed him. As they uncover the mystery of who truly was Manjulika, chaos descends in the form of Mandira, a new threat waiting to enter the palace.
